“Landscapes: Volume 3” is the final volume in this series (at least for a while). I hope you have enjoyed my work on this series over the last three years. It has been an amazing ride full of amazing experiences. I plan to continue shooting landscapes timelapses but putting together videos of this magnitude will be difficult to continue on a regular basis. Thanks for watching.
Can mountains shine on their own? A time lapse journey chasing the unique light of Dolomites, showing how it changes in different conditions and times.
It was shot during two summer vacations, between 2016 and 2017, for one month overall. It is completely set in Fassa and Gardena Valley, between Trentino and South Tyrol, in northern Italy.

“Transient” is a compilation of the best shots from my storm chasing adventures of summer 2017. Most of the lightning footage was captured in uncompressed raw at 1000 frames per second with our Phantom Flex4K. This summer I chased for over 30 days and traveled 20K miles. My respect and admiration for storm chasers became even stronger this year. This is one of the most difficult projects I have ever attempted in my career. On several occasions I found myself uncomfortable either mentally or physically. Chasing storms with a Phantom Flex4K is stressful even when things are going well. There were at least 10 days where I returned home with my tail between my legs and nothing to show after a ten hour chase and 500 miles. […]

The second video of my Dolomites timelapse series featuring the beautiful mountains of northern Italy changing over the seasons. Summer here can be an epic show of changing weather and steep rock towers piercing through the clouds. Between those majestic mountain peaks you can find beautiful green meadows and forests.
“Sleepless in Switzerland” ist eine nächtliche Reise durch die Schweiz als 4K Time Lapse (Zeitraffer). Zu sehen sind die Sterne und das galaktische Zentrum der Milchstrasse über dem Horizont der Schweizer Alpen. Die Aufnahmen wurden von Februar bis August 2017 gemacht. Fotos der Milchstrasse und weitere Informationen dazu gibt es unter:
The past year has been unreal. New Zealand, South Africa, the Atacama Desert, Iceland, La Palma the beautiful Dolomites just to count a few of the incredible locations I’ve been lucky enough to visit. […]
On June 12th, I broke down into tears. Minutes earlier, I had been outside my truck, leaning against it, head buried in my arms, frustration and failure washing over me. I wanted to quit. I got back in the car and as I drove, the pain got the better of me and the tears came. […]
[…] Undulatus asperatus clouds are a rare phenomenon and actually the newest named cloud type in over 60 years. I’ve seen tons of photos of them, but never anything like what we witnessed last night. We had a storm with hail in front of us and flashing lightning which was fantastic. But then we had this layer of undulatus clouds flowing across our view. Watching them was amazing already, but then the sun slowly appeared from behind some clouds to the west and lit up our storm like nothing we’ve ever seen before. We were like kids in a candy store. Running around, doing our best to capture it from every possible angle. […]
